Day 88 – Yukuhashi

When we woke up today, Seio and I were both still full from yesterday’s meal!!

This was our last day in Yukuhashi before we headed off to Tokyo and then back to England.

Seio’s cousin form Beppu, Sachiko, had sent us some very expensive Japanese beef, and so we all had a very luxurious Sukiyaki for lunch. Sukiyaki is made in a special iron pan, and involves cooking beef, tofu, vegetables, and noodles in sugar and soy sauce. It was very nice indeed!!

In the afternoon we popped into town to do a little bit of last minute shopping, then headed back home and started to pack our suitcases. We didn’t think it would be too difficult, but it turned out we had accumulated quite a lot of goodies on our travels!! We managed to get everything packed in the end, however it was quite late before we got to bed and we needed to get up at 3am the next morning…..
